The fighter will receive the cryptocurrency through the Cash App.

Ngannou also announced a distribution of $300 thousand in bitcoin among his fans. The champion explained that he wants to make the cryptocurrency more accessible.
“After studying bitcoin in depth, I really believe that this is the future of money,” Ngannou said.
Last April, Kansas City Chiefs player Sean Culkin became the first player in National Football League (NFL) history to convert an annual income into cryptocurrency.
The first NFL player to start getting paid in bitcoin was Russell Okung of the Carolina Panthers. In 2020, he converted 50% of his annual salary into cryptocurrency.
