Peter Berezin is confident that regulators will continue to tighten control over Bitcoin
The chief strategist of the financial consulting company BCA Research, Peter Berezin, in an interview with Kitco News, predicted the disappearance of bitcoin.
Environmental issues are a significant disadvantage of the Bitcoin , he said. Berezin claims that the main cryptocurrency will disappear after regulators tighten control over digital assets.
Berezin also noted that bitcoin is used in illegal transactions. Within three years, the number of payments and legal settlements using bitcoin has decreased, the strategist says. In his opinion, investors should be concerned about the use of the main cryptocurrency in ransomware.
According to the Italian economist, cryptocurrency are largely used “for criminal activity” and also consume “a huge amount of energy.”
