Video hosting product director Neil Mohan believes that non-fungible tokens will allow creators to build a more effective interaction with fansYouTube video hosting product director Neil Mohan said that non-fungible tokens (NFT) allow creators to build a more effective interaction with fans, as well as create new ways to monetize content.
Mohan explained that with the help of NFT, content creators will be able to transfer the rights to their unique videos, photos and other valuable works. Whether NFTs will be added to video hosting and when this might happen, Mohan did not disclose.
In January, the social network Twitter announced the integration of NFT as a photo in user profiles. This feature has become available to subscribers of the Twitter Blue premium service with devices based on the iOS operating system. Now they can link their social media account to a cryptocurrency wallet and select NFTs to use as their profile photo.

The NFT integration on Twitter has been criticized by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. The businessman said that he was annoyed by the fact that the developers of the social network are wasting time on “nonsense”, while Twitter is flooded with a large number of crypto scammers and spam bots.
