The payment system Mastercard has launched a new program aimed at helping organizations from the digital asset and blockchain industry.
Payment system Mastercard announced the launch of a new Start Path program, which will support seven startups from the digital asset and blockchain industry.
The Start Path program includes:
-NFT marketplace Mintable(Singapore);
-institutional custodian platform for cryptocurrencies GK8 (Israel);
-enterprise-level infrastructure provider for digital asset management Taurus (Switzerland);
-developer of an investment solution to bridge the gap between traditional and digital finance Domain Money (USA);
-blockchain oracle supplier SupraOracles (Switzerland);
-investment and payment platform Uphold (USA);
-provider of DLT infrastructure for the financial market STACS (Singapore).
Mastercard said in a statement that each of the projects included in the program is focused on solving a unique industry challenge, so the company will support them so that startups can grow and develop.
In February, Mastercard announced that it plans to start working with cryptocurrency in 2021.
Raj Damodaran, executive vice president of digital assets, blockchain technologies and partnerships, stressed that the company does not intend to support all existing cryptocurrency, many of which do not yet meet its requirements.
