A public cryptocurrency mining company HIVE Blockchain bought 3,000 MicroBT WhatsMiner M30S miners from Foundry Digital LLC (a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group).
HIVE Blockchain is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.
The total computing power that the new equipment will generate will be 264 PH / s. Miners are already located at HIVE facilities in Canada, but are not connected to the public network.
Thanks to the new equipment, the company plans to increase the generated hash rate by 46%.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. It is only known that Foundry Digital LLC will receive 1.5 million warrants, each of which allows one to buy one ordinary share of HIVE at a price of $ 2.49 per share within two years.
As part of the deal, HIVE will provide its computing power to the Foundry USA Pool. The cost of one WhatsMiner M30S miner is $ 11.3 thousand, according to the official website of the manufacturer.
