Developers of the decentralized domain name service have issued 47 million TNS tokens. In the next two years, TNS supply will increase to 100 million digital coins
The Terra Name Service, a decentralized domain name service associated with the Terra protocol, has announced the release of its own governance tokens and their distribution to users.
The distribution of TNS tokens will take place on December 24, Service developers have already issued 47 million TNS tokens of which:
- 10 million (21.3%) will remain under project management;
- 2 million (4.3%) reserved for integration with the Terra ecosystem;
- 25 million (53.2%) reserved for future integrations;
- 8.33 million (17.7%) allocated for the first distribution of tokens;
- 1 million (2.1%) reserved for influencer rewards;
- 0.67 million (1.4%) are reserved for project promotion.

Terra Name Service plans to issue 100 million TNS tokens within two years. 25% of tokens will be distributed among the users of the service. A snapshot of the addresses for the first distribution of tokens was taken on December 17 .
The developers of Terra Name Service believe that issuing tokens will increase the decentralization of the service. TNS token holders will be able to participate in project management, distribution of its funds and technical development.
Terra is a blockchain protocol that creates fiat-pegged stablecoins. LUNA token holders can propose and vote on proposals for improving the blockchain.
