To take part in the drawing, you must be a member of one of the AMC loyalty programs (Stubs Premiere, A-List and Investor Connect).
NFT tokens will be distributed only to those users who bought tickets on the website of the cinema network or in the mobile application, attended the premiere screening of the film on December 16, and did not cancel their reservation. The NFT distribution will begin on December 22nd and run until February 8th.
Aron later wrote that NFT announcement of Spider-Man: No Way Home caused traffic to skyrocket to an all-time high.
As a result, the chain of cinemas sold all tickets for the first screening of the film. Also, the head of AMC apologized for technical problems that may have been observed due to the high load.
Our #AMCFirstEverNFT with @SonyPictures and Spider-Man: No Way Home caused AMC’s online ticketing traffic Sunday night/Monday morning to soar, to the highest ever in AMC’s entire history. Oh did we sell tickets! But we are sorry wait times got long with the unprecedented volumes. pic.twitter.com/MdLVL3Z7Oj

In mid-November, AMC began accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin as payments. In the future, the company will add the ability to accept payments to Dogecoin.
AMC Entertainment owns about 1,000 cinemas in the United States and Europe. Despite the growth in revenue, in the second quarter, the company’s losses amounted to $ 344 million. It was able to resume the work of all its cinemas only at the end of June this year.
In early 2021, AMC was on the verge of bankruptcy due to quarantine restrictions. Many cinemas have been closed and studios have postponed premieres of their films.
However, social media users sparked a surge in the value of several stocks, including AMC. As a result, the network was able to place additional securities, raise funds and avoid bankruptcy.
