<p>The payment company plans to add <strong>non-fungible tokens (NFT)</strong> to its collection to support authors from the <strong>crypto </strong>space.</p>



<p>Payment company <strong>Visa </strong>plans to continue <strong>buying non-fungible tokens (NFTs)</strong>, Kai Sheffield, head of <strong>Visa cryptocurrency </strong>business, <a href="https://blockworks.co/visa-head-of-crypto-says-cryptopunk-wont-be-companys-only-nft/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">told Blockworks</a> . </p>



<p>According to Sheffield , the company will add <strong>NFT tokens </strong>to its collection in order to support authors working in the <strong>crypto </strong>space.</p>



<p>On August 23, it became known that <a href="https://cointopsecret.com/2021/08/23/visa-announced-purchase-of-an-nft-token-for-150000/"><strong>Visa </strong>bought</a> the <strong>CryptoPunk </strong># 7610 <strong>NFT token</strong> for $ 150 thousand. The company used the services of the first US federal-level <strong>cryptocurrency </strong>bank Anchorage. </p>



<p><strong>Visa </strong>did not interact with <strong>Ethereum </strong>to buy the <strong>token</strong>, but instead executed the transaction using fiat currency. <strong>CryptoPunk </strong># 7610 is also stored by Anchorage.</p>



<p>Within an hour after the purchase of the <strong>NFT token by Visa</strong>, the authors of the <strong>CryptoPunk </strong>collection <a href="https://www.larvalabs.com/cryptopunks/sales" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">sold over</a> 60 <strong>NFTs</strong>. The cost of each <strong>token </strong>exceeded $ 200 thousand. </p>



<p>According to CryptoSlam, on August 27, the daily trading volume of <strong>CryptoPunk </strong>tokens is $ 31.8 million. Over the past four days, the indicator has grown by 283%.</p>
