Why won’t the authorities of the United States and other world powers follow China’s path with regard to cryptocurrencies? Mikhail Karkhalev, financial analyst at Currency.com crypto exchange, told about it
Global financial regulators, including those from the United States, will not follow China’s prohibitive path towards cryptocurrencies, says Mikhail Karkhalev, financial analyst at Currency.com crypto exchange.
In an exclusive interview , he said that if the authorities wanted to severely ban bitcoin, it should have been done back in 2013-2015, and now the point of no return has been passed.
“Cryptocurrencies are innovations, technologies that are always necessary and important. Therefore, it makes no sense for financial regulators to press cryptocurrencies. It is easier to take the crypto market within some framework, but not to kill, ”Karkhalev said.
What the US authorities are doing in relation to cryptocurrencies is very correct and designed for the future, the expert noted.
Earlier it became known that the US authorities will tighten control over crypto transactions in order to suppress the actions of hackers using ransomware viruses.
Also, Finance Minister Janet Yellen announced the need to quickly create a regulatory framework for stablecoins.
