Landon Cassill To Be Paid In Bitcoin And Litecoin For 19 Races Under Contract With Voyager Digital Asset Broker.

NASCAR racer Landon Cassill has partnered with cryptocurrency broker Voyager to receive his salary in digital coins, writes The Street .

The agreement with Voyager will last for 19 races, for which Cassill will be paid in Bitcoin and Litecoin.

This is the first time in NASCAR that a rider will be paid in cryptocurrency. Cassill noted that he has been investing in digital assets for several years.

The racer does not yet know what exactly he will do with the received cryptocurrency.

“I can trade cryptocurrency right now, until the market situation changes, or save coins until prices go up or down, and pay my bills with cryptocurrency,” said the racer.

Last year, Darrell “Bubba” Wallace’s NASCAR car was marked with the bitcoin logo and the Cash App. The pilot was sponsored by Twitter creator Jack Dorsey’s payment company Square. Wallace, 26, drives a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE.

Crypto.com, a cryptocurrency exchange service, signed a sponsorship deal with British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin in March this year .

In 2021, the company returned to Formula 1 after a 61-year hiatus. Its cars bear the logos of the crypto exchanger.

Voyager is a cryptocurrency broker listed on the Canadian Stock Exchange.
