Cynthia Lummis believes the main cryptocurrency is mistakenly criticized for being green.
Wyoming Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis, on the Reason podcast, endorsed bitcoin and named the advantages of the main cryptocurrency.
The digital coin could contain the devaluation of the US dollar and other fiat currencies, Lummis said.
The senator also claims that bitcoin is mistakenly criticized for being environmentally friendly, since, on the contrary, the cryptocurrency stimulates the creation of new renewable energy sources in states such as Wyoming.
In May, Tesla company refused from using Bitcoin for non-ecological method of their production.

The CEO of the company, Elon Musk, said that Tesla cannot afford to harm the environment, so it will not accept cryptocurrency as payment until it starts mining with renewable energy sources.
