<p>Auction house <strong>Sotheby&#8217;s </strong>announced the sale of a rare <strong>non fungible token</strong> (<strong>NFT</strong>) &#8220;Alien&#8221; # 7523 (&#8220;Alien&#8221;) from the <strong>CryptoPunk </strong>collection for $ 11.8 million. This is a record price of one <strong>NFT</strong>&#8211;<strong>token </strong>from this collection. </p>



<p><strong>Sotheby&#8217;s </strong>is running an online auction Natively Digital: Curated <strong>NFT </strong>Sale, in which another 25 <strong>NFT tokens </strong>were put up for sale. Among them is the oldest <strong>non fungible token</strong>, which was created in 2014.</p>

<p><strong>CryptoPunk </strong>is a collection of 10,000 <strong>digital avatars</strong> in the form of people, monkeys, aliens and other creatures, created in the form of <strong>NFT</strong>. Before the sale of the <strong>Alien token</strong> at <strong>Sotheby&#8217;s</strong>, the most expensive <strong>NFT </strong>from the collection was <strong>CryptoPunk </strong># 7804, <a href="https://opensea.io/assets/0xb47e3cd837ddf8e4c57f05d70ab865de6e193bbb/7804" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">which sold for $ 7.6 million</a>.</p>
